Diverse Group of NGC-certified Coins Featured in Japan Auction

A British gold rarity nearly 200 years old is the top lot in the Auction World sale.

A fascinating selection of coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) — from the dawn of coinage to the current decade — is available now through Auction World, a respected Japanese auction house. Bidding is already underway for Auction 29, being held July 15-16, 2022.

The top lot in the auction is a Great Britain 1826 5 Sovereign graded NGC PF 63 Ultra Cameo and pedigreed to the SINCONA British Collection (lot 3439). The obverse features a stunning bare-headed rendition of King George IV. This rare coin has a starting price of ¥10,000,000 (about $73,500).

  • an England 1701 5 Guineas - Plain Sceptres graded NGC MS 61+ and pedigreed to the Paramount Collection (lot 3396), with a starting price of ¥4,000,000 (about $29,400)
  • a German New Guinea 1894A 5 Mark graded NGC PF 66 (lot 1163), with a starting price of ¥3,000,000 (about $22,100)
  • an Austria 1643 Vienna 10 Ducats graded NGC AU Details (lot 3017), with a starting price of ¥3,000,000 (about $22,100)
  • an Italy 1816M Lombardy-Venetia Silver Pattern 6 Lire graded NGC AU 55 (lot 3637), with a starting price of ¥3,000,000 (about $22,100)
