NGC Galleries

This collection of thousands of Scandinavian coins and medals was assembled by Lars Emil Bruun, a Danish entrepreneur. It was set aside for a century after his death to serve as a replacement for the numismatic collection owned by the Danish government. The L. E. Bruun Collection has been certified by NGC and is being offered in a series of auctions by Stack's Bowers Galleries that started in September 2024. In that sale, a Denmark 1496 Noble realized €1.2 million (about $1.33 million), a record for any coin from Scandinavia.

The SINCONA British Collection is an extraordinary group of rarities that tell the history of English coinage over nearly 700 years, starting with King Edward III in the 14th century. The offerings in SINCONA auctions in November 2021, May 2022, October 2022, May 2023 and October 2023 spotlighted more than 2,500 NGC-certified coins, including an 1820 Pattern that realized over $600,000 and a unique modern 5-kilogram gold rarity.

Nearly 400 coins certified by NGC Ancients from the Mark and Lottie Salton Collection are being offered in a Stack's Bowers sale in January 2022. This phenomenal collection of ancient and world coins was assembled over many decades. These selections are focused on Greek issues from the dawn of coinage in the 6th century B.C. through the kingdoms in western Asia that flourished in the wake of Alexander the Great's death in 323 B.C.
